Digestion is the center of our being. Digestive issues wreak havoc on our quality of life. Conscious Acupuncture involves taking the wreak out of havoc, so you can get back to the things you love. The key is a two-pronged approach with Chinese medicine and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). One addresses the physiological and the other addresses the psychological, mind and body.
Chinese herbs in the form of pills or customized potions treat the physiological aspect of digestive issues. Conscious herbalism involves muscle testing classical and research-based herbal combinations to derive both a working diagnosis and treatment strategy; simply, what the problem is and how to treat it. In contrast to some approaches that test individual herbal powders, Conscious herbalism tests whole formulas that already have herbs in proper ratios based upon the historical records dating back to the 3rd-c C.E. and empirical evidence.
EFT is for the mind, treating both the unresolved emotional traumas arising from having a long term chronic condition, as well as unresolved conflicts of the past. Emotional trauma may not only adversely affect one’s digestion but also affect one’s prospects for getting better. In contrast to most traditional psychologically based therapies where talking one’s feelings out is the treatment process, acupuncture points and focus on a particular traumatic feeling is the focus of EFT. While there is much to be said for the art of EFT delivery, patients may be pleasantly surprised by how much they can do for themselves with this easy technique.
